[Review] My Rose (Rosebud ) movie: Humorous and emotional

Synopsis: Rosebud

Good points and not good

Actually, didn't expect much because it was rumored to be a bullshit comedy. However, the ability to make us laugh, while also hitting viewers' emotions!

Good mark

There are many positive factors that make unexpected, because there is almost no expectation for this film. First of all, the context of Korea's old school is reminiscent of the movie Sunny (2011), which perfectly depicts Korea's 70s to 90s timeline. Although the makeup on the hair and makeup techniques can be improved (for example, the wig is too obvious) a lot, the overall cinematic color of the film is excellent.

Moreover, My Rose is strong in the humor. There is a fine line between a good movie and a comedy. The comedy was not forced or unnatural in this film, but it made the audience laugh. In particular, you'll love the performance of Choi Woo-Sik, who showed too much drama in the trailer, but was extremely humorous throughout the movie.

However, this does not mean that there is only comedy. My Rose has caused many emotions to reach the hearts of the audience. The story also has meaningful points worth thinking about.

Each individual in the cast does not excel but equally equally ... excellent. Park Sung-Woong's character is quite similar to his role in Inside Me (2014). Recently, he has participated in many comedies, especially the loser. Film can say that it perfectly fits his personality; Truly excellent. Also, the other cast members are fine, but there are still some weaknesses.

Score not good

There aren't really many negative things to say about this movie. Although My Rose is not the best comedy, it certainly has the elements to make it a movie to enjoy. Perhaps the criticism is the feeling of being pulled slightly. with a duration of 126 minutes, longer than 2 hours. Probably should not last so long. The time for the movie should probably be around 90 ~ 100 minutes to work, because it feels like things are getting a little dull near the end.

And finally, the trailer makes it easy to confuse Rosebud as a music movie. However, although there are some musical elements in the story, it is not a musical movie but a romantic comedy.
